Amalfi String Quartet comprises of four young musicians who formed their ensemble in 1998 whilst studying at the Royal Scottish Academy Of Music And Drama.They have performed at a great many events all over Scotland including Holyrood Palace, Merchants House, Fernie Castle, Stirling and Airth castle to name but a few.The quartet are very popular at weddings as they have a wide repertoire including light classics, opera, jazz and popular songs.The Amalfi are based in Glasgow but are available to play in any part of Scotland at very reasonable rates.Central Scotland Ask for # 481

Laurelin Strings ~ This lively, young string quartet was formed in Glasgow in 1995, and it's members have played with every professional orchestra in Scotland. The original quartet are based in Glasgow, with subsidiary groups under "Laurelin Strings" based in Leeds and London. The Laurelin String Quartet have performed at venues all over the UK. Recent engagements have included the Premiere of Gordon McPherson's 3rd String Quartet at the Salisbury Festival; an evening function at Holyrood Palace, Edinburgh before HRH Prince Edward: a performance for BBC Music Live at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, and recitals at St Martin in the Fields, London.

Capriccio Quartet has been performing music for weddings, receptions, conferences and dinners since 1985, as well as occasionally giving concerts. They have performed in a wide range of venues, both in Edinburgh  (e.g. National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh Castle, Signet Library, Assembly Rooms, Old College Library and various hotels) and also as far afield as Gleneagles, Turnberry, St Andrews Old Course, Aviemore, Stirling Castle. and Liverpool. Their repertoire is very flexible, ranging from Scott Joplin and popular music of the 1920s  to music by classical composers such as Vivaldi, Mozart and Bach.
Capriccio Flute Quartet (flute, violin, viola and cello) is an alternative to the string quartet. They play mainly baroque and classical music.
Capriccio Baroque consists of two violins, cello and harpsichord. They play music by well-known composers such as Vivaldi and Bach, and also 18th-century Scottish composers. They also perform as a six-piece group with the addition of viola and flute.
Capriccietto Piano Trio has a similar repertoire to Capriccio Quartet. They require a venue with a good piano.
Capriccietto String Trio consists of two violins and cello and plays mainly baroque music by Vivaldi, Bach and 18th-century Scottish composers.
Capriccioso - Violin and piano duo - a wide repertoire similar to that of Capriccio Quartet. (Venue with piano required)         Violin and harpsichord duo - mainly baroque music.
Gladstone's Bag specialises in music from the Victorian era. The group consists of flute, violin, clarinet and piano. They play waltzes, quadrilles, polkas, galops etc., interspersed with operatic excerpts from operas and operettas, and music hall tunes of the period.(Venue with piano required)
Cool Caprice - violin, piano and jazz bass - music from the 20's, 30's and 40's with a hint of jazz.
Celtic Caprice - trio playing fiddle, mandoline, accordion, guitar, cello, keyboard etc. - Scottish music for background entertainment.
The Personnel of the ensemble is flexible, but the players are all professional or semi-professional musicians. Many have worked with the top Scottish orchestras, RSNO, BBC SSO. Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and other British Orchestras such as CBSO, Halle, BBC Philharmonic, and also period-instrument orchestras such as Scottish Baroque Players, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. Ask for # 537

The Scottish Reed Trio Jane Emanuel-oboe - Robert Fairley-clarinet - Grant Mackay-bassoon. The Scottish Reed Trio is an experienced group consisting of the above principal wind players from Scottish Ballet Orchestra. It can cover a wide range of musical styles - baroque, classical and jazz - and is a perfect ensemble for background music at weddings. We can also perform before and after the wedding service and have several suitable items for the entrance of the bride. We take pleasure in performing pre-requested music, and can arrange special items if necessary. ecoute ~ Soprano Shuna Sendall and Pianist Wai Sum Chong are 'ecoute', a classically trained duo who will try their hand at almost anything. We have both trained at RSAMD and are available as a duo, individually or with a double bass for that little something extra. We are willing to travel most places within reasonable distance of Glasgow/Edinburgh providing its not too hard to get too and we even have our own portable full size keyboard. GRANT GOLDING ~ Trumpet In 1995 Grant gained  a place at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow where he took up studies with Nigel Boddice and later with John Gracie and Iain Muirhead.
In 1996 Grant was awarded the Governors prize for Chamber Music. 
Since then he has been awarded the David A Knox prize, Countess of Munster Musical Trust award and the Barcapel foundation Scholarship.
Grant Graduated in summer 1999 with a Bmus Performers degree and has gone back to do a Mmus Postgraduate.
Grant has freelanced with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the BBC Scottish Symphony orchestra, he has also played with the Ruthven festival orchestra and the Dunedin Consort.
As a soloist he has performed with the Academy Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, and has given recitals in St. Martin in the Fields, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and many of the local churches in Glasgow.
Grant is currently studying for an Mmus. at the RSAMD with John Gracie and Iain Muirhead. Grant has also recently returned from America where he took part in an exchange with the University of Memphis. Ask for # 485
